From a founders' dinner to a global convention

2013

A working group of eleven clinicians

Formed after an informal dinner at a regional optometry congress.

2016

First convention convenes

The inaugural GOMCC gathering drew just under 300 delegates.

2019

Formal society status

GOMCC incorporated as a non-profit scientific society.

2023

Passing 1,000 delegates

The fifth convention exceeded a thousand attendees across forty countries.

2027

Sixth convention, Manila

The society returns to Southeast Asia, hosted at PICC.

To advance the safe, evidence-based practice of orthokeratology and myopia control worldwide by connecting clinicians, researchers, and manufacturers around shared clinical standards.

Vision

A future in which every eye-care practitioner has ready access to the training, tools, and evidence needed to slow myopia progression in the patients who need it most.

Membership is open to licensed optometrists, ophthalmologists, and allied eye-care researchers with an interest in myopia management.

Is the convention accredited for continuing education?

CE points are pending confirmation with regional boards; details will be posted closer to the event.

Yes — general delegate registration does not require a submission.
